Health Research has increased in magnitude, diversity, and complexity over the years. It has led to the development of research standards, guidelines, and regulations that not only govern the conduct of high-calibre research, but ensure participants are protected and high-quality data is collected. With this evolution, it has become clear that specific training and education are required on an ongoing basis for all research team members. As new research staff and investigators join Nova Scotia Health, they’re educated in the standards and regulations that apply to research conduct through interactive workshops, online learning, and a mentoring program.
