The Nova Scotia Health Innovation Hub, in partnership with Accenture, is excited to announce the Atlantic AI HealthTech Innovation Challenge powered by Accenture.
Atlantic HealthTech ventures leveraging GenAI or other AI technologies will compete locally to be awarded entry into Accenture’s seventh annual HealthTech Innovation Challenge in Chicago, Illinois, from August 6-7, 2024. This North American event brings together partners from across the health ecosystem to innovate, collaborate and ultimately create better healthcare experiences globally. The winner of the Atlantic AI HealthTech Innovation Challenge powered by Accenture will attend the North American Challenge to pitch their solution in front of senior level executives from leading healthcare organizations including health plans, providers, and startups.
To be eligible, ventures must be:
- Seed to Series A funding level HealthTech startups in Atlantic Canada
- Developing a solution that leverages GenAI or other AI technologies
- Selling to health plans, health providers or direct to consumer users within a health field
- Have a product in market with at minimum one paying client

Interested candidates will submit a written application for consideration. Applications consist of 26 questions and should take applicants between 30 minutes to an hour to complete. Once submitted, applications will then be reviewed and evaluated with the top three finalists selected to pitch virtually to a panel of representatives from Accenture, Nova Scotia Health, and the Atlantic Canadian startup ecosystem. The selected finalist will be awarded entry into the Accenture North American challenge for a chance to pitch their solution and collaborate with North American healthcare executives.
Pitches for the top three teams will be held virtually and consist of ten minutes presenting plus ten minutes of questions from the judges. In preparation for the pitches, Accenture will offer the top teams a group coaching session.

Travel Costs
Costs for the finalist team to travel to Chicago will not be supported by Nova Scotia Health. Applicants are encouraged to consider accessing regional financial support programs for business travel such as the Invest Nova Scotia Export Development Program for Nova Scotia based companies.
